SMD BOX SP is suited for solder paste storage and retrieval process.  As solder paste is critical for soldering process however it is environment sensitive thus requires following practice prior to use. 

1.Solder paste should be frozen whenever it is in cartridge or syringe package.

2.Prior to use, solder paste must equilibrate to the environment temperature

(Typically 2 hours, more specific requirement could be obtained from solder paste maker).

3.Mixing process is frequently applied to ensure the viscosity optimization and air bubble removal.

All these steps are automated with SMD BOX SP. It employs a camera to read the barcode information as the first step, then extracting the necessary information like manufacturing date, part number and others then the software will allocate them into Cooling Area with the help of automation mechanics. 

According to the user production information it then can be moved to Environment Temperature Area and storing period is defined by users.

Built in mixer featuring high speed mixing capabilities help optimizing viscosity, air bubble issues which might contribute to future process defects.  Mixing process is user programmable and all information will not only be stored locally but also sharing with user traceability system when required.
