ValidAte Plus
ValidATE Plus is electrically identical to the standard ValidATE System, but its ergonomics are optimized for environments where combined in-circuit and functional testing is required, especially when a bed-of-nails fixture is the most suitable choice.
With the capability to thoroughly verify digital, analog, and mixed-mode circuitry, ValidATE Plus can also support power-off structural testing, as well as power-on in-circuit techniques.
The system integrates best-in-class board testing technologies to meet demanding requirements in performance, capacity, and fault isolation. It leverages multiple test methodologies to reduce test development costs without compromising fault coverage or throughput.
Power-off structural tests, using both junction-based and capacitive techniques, are first applied to isolate basic manufacturing defects. Then, power-on in-circuit tests-analog, digital, and IEEE 1149-extended-are executed through the system’s non-multiplexed hybrid channels.
Where necessary, fast On-Board Programming (OBP) operations can be performed. Finally, the full capability of functional testing certifies the operation of the UUT (Unit Under Test).
The VALID Line for functional testing offers a complete system family designed to meet current and future requirements of military and aerospace electronics.
Functional Test Platform
Thanks to its flexible hardware and software architecture, the VALID Line delivers test solutions configured to support third-level testing (Factory and Depot), second-level testing (Intermediate), and first-level testing (Operational).
The ValidATE systems are successfully used to test defense electronics such as EFA 2000 Typhoon and Rafale, and they are a core component of ATEC-MT testers provided by Spherea Test & Services (formerly EADS Cassidian Test & Services).
The Valid Line is a fully integrated functional test solution capable of supporting analog, digital, and mixed-signal testing at both board level (SRA/SRU) and box level (LRA/LRU), in both factory and field environments.
The Valid Line leverages Seica’s extensive experience in testing complex electronic boards and assemblies, offering advanced DSP- and FPGA-driven digital technology, along with a complete suite of test generation, debugging, and diagnostic tools.
It has a proven capability to replace obsolete functional test platforms, from GR179X to GR275X, from L200 to L300, from S720 to S790, as well as various custom STE systems used for box-level testing and validation.
Providing best-in-class stimulus and measurement hardware, the Valid Line can be easily expanded to include GPIB, LXI, and VXI COTS instruments. Operating within the powerful VIVA test environment, the system can also be fully controlled by external sequencers such as N.I. TestStand or Agilent VeePRO, and supports a variety of programming languages (C++, VBS) and development environments (LabWindows/CVI, LabView, and more).
