MX-5210 Soldering & Rework System
The MX-5200 Soldering, Desoldering, and Rework Series offers increased power and advanced process control, featuring dual-simultaneous ports to support two users or a single user handling dual applications. Powered by Metcal SmartHeat® Fixed Temperature, the system automatically adjusts power levels during each soldering operation to maintain accurate and consistent temperatures. This technology ensures that soldering and rework processes are consistently performed at safe, controlled levels. Utilizing moderate fixed temperatures where power is dynamically varied provides the highest assurance for a well-controlled manufacturing environment.
The system ensures a fast time-to-recovery, which delivers increased production rates and throughput across various applications. The MX-5200 super-charged 80W power supply seamlessly tackles the challenges of high-mass components, multilayered boards, and lead-free solders. Additionally, the dual-simultaneous output allows the system to operate with two handpieces that dynamically share the power output based on demand, adding extra application flexibility and speed.
The system features a built-in Net Power Meter that displays a graphical and numerical representation of the power applied to the cartridge. It also includes a User Programmable Power Save Mode, allowing the time to enter power saving to be adjusted from 10 to 120 minutes. Additionally, the Ground Fault Interrupt integrated into the AC ground monitor detects power line ground failures, immediately alerting the operator and shutting down the system. The Universal Power Supply automatically senses the input line voltage and adjusts accordingly, enabling worldwide operation without adaptors or any change in performance. The unit offers full compatibility with existing and previous MX upgrade kits, tip-cartridges, handpieces, and accessories.
