MX-5220
The MX-5200 Soldering, Desoldering, and Rework Series provides increased power and advanced process control, featuring dual-simultaneous ports that support two users or a single user with dual applications. This specific configuration consists of an 80W MX system equipped with the MX-PS5200 power supply, one UltraFine handpiece, and one workstand.
The system operates efficiently with two handpieces dynamically sharing the 80-watt output power based on real-time demand, which increases overall application flexibility and operational speed.
The system delivers increased production rates and higher throughput regardless of the specific application. The super-charged power supply seamlessly tackles the technical challenges associated with high-mass components, multilayered boards, and lead-free solders.
The technology built into every Metcal SmartHeat® system ensures that soldering and rework processes are always performed at safe, controlled temperatures. Operators understand that moderate fixed temperatures, where power is dynamically varied, provide the best assurance for a well-controlled soldering and rework environment.
The system incorporates a built-in Net Power Meter that provides a clear graphical and numerical representation of the power applied to the cartridge. It features a User Programmable Power Save Mode, allowing operators to adjust the time to enter power saving from 10 to 120 minutes. Additionally, an integrated Ground Fault Interrupt within the AC ground monitor detects power line ground failures, which instantly alerts the operator and shuts down the system. The Universal Power Supply automatically senses the input line voltage and adapts accordingly, enabling seamless worldwide operation without external adaptors or any reduction in performance. The unit also delivers full compatibility with existing and previous MX upgrade kits, tip-cartridges, handpieces, and accessories.
