Flexible ESD packaging protects suitable electronic components and assemblies during handling, storage and transport. Bags and other flexible materials can provide different functions, including controlled charge behavior and shielding, depending on their construction.
These functions should be distinguished when selecting packaging. A material that reduces charge generation does not necessarily provide the shielding needed outside an ESD protected area. Moisture-barrier requirements are another separate consideration for devices that need controlled moisture handling.
Compare package size, closure method and protective properties against the item and its route through the factory. Sharp edges and repeated opening can affect packaging condition. Labels should remain readable without compromising the intended protection. Where desiccants or humidity indicators are used, the complete packaging procedure should follow the component requirements rather than treating the bag as the only protective element.
At Sinerji, you can find flexible ESD packaging for electronics. Our team can help identify suitable options for your components, storage conditions and transport workflow.
